Ways to Add Steps to Your Day
There are a lot of different ways you can add to your daily step count. (And no, sitting and shaking your pedometer does not count!)
-
Walk down the hall to see a co-worker
-
Take the stairs when possible, instead of the elevator
-
Park farther from the office, the store, or wherever you drive
-
Walk the kids to school instead of driving them
-
Take the dog for a walk. Or the cat. Or the hampster... why not?
-
Take a break from work and walk around the building
-
Go fly a kite
-
Do your grocery shopping in the order you have items listed, instead of going aisle-by-aisle. (Unless that's how you list your groceries. Then you've got bigger problems!)
-
Chase the kids around the house
